Last updated: October 2026 (version 2026-10b). This policy explains what Vaastu Ginie (vaastuginie.com), run by GinieVentures, Kolkata, collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Without an account. Kundli, matching, numerology, panchang and Vastu calculations run in your browser. Birth details, names and numbers you enter are not sent to our server. Profiles you choose to save are kept in your browser's storage on that device. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, browser type) for security; they are rotated automatically and kept only briefly.
With an account. We store: your email address; the date of your consent; the profiles you save (name, gender, date, time and place of birth, and any relation or note you add); and your settings (such as your city). Birth details and settings are encrypted before they are stored. We use them only to show you your readings across devices.
Sign-in codes. To sign you in we email a 6-digit code. We keep only a scrambled form of the code, your email and your IP address, to stop misuse, and delete these records after 24 hours.
Contact form. If you write to us, your message, name and email are delivered to our inbox through the Web3Forms service so we can reply.
Business reports. The details you enter for a report (business name, numbers, layout, partners' dates of birth) are stored encrypted in your account so the report can be opened again. Add other people's details only with their permission.
Payments. When paid reports are open, payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive and keep the order and payment reference, the amount and the invoice number; we never see or store card, UPI or bank details. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires, even if you delete your account.
We use two essential cookies only when you use an account: one keeps you signed in (for up to 90 days) and one protects forms against forgery. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies ourselves. When ads are shown on article pages, Google may use cookies to serve and measure them; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings. Your browser storage also keeps your preferences, such as your city and chart style.
Our server is a virtual private server that we manage. Sign-in emails are sent through Brevo, an email delivery service, which receives only your email address and the code. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Ads, when shown, are served by Google AdSense. Place search data comes from GeoNames and is loaded by your browser; no personal data is sent to GeoNames. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your account, profiles and settings immediately; copies in our server backups, where birth details stay encrypted, are removed within 35 days as old backups expire. Sign-in codes are deleted after 24 hours.
You can see, correct and download your data, withdraw consent and delete your account at any time from My account. Withdrawing consent means deleting your account; tools keep working without one. Children under 18 should use the site only with a parent or guardian, who should create the account.
All traffic uses HTTPS. Birth details are encrypted in the database, sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords, and access to the server is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
