The fifth house is creativity and intelligence: children, romance, studies, speculation, mantras and the merit carried from the past. It shows intelligence, judgement, romance, creativity and children. It is also the house of past-life merit (purva punya), devotion and the ability to advise others.
The twelfth house is letting go: expenses, foreign lands, travel abroad, sleep, retreat, charity and spiritual liberation. It covers expenses, losses and gains abroad, hospitals, sleep, retreats and moksha, the final liberation. Planets here can bring success abroad or in quiet, spiritual pursuits.
