Mars is energy, courage and the drive to act. It rules siblings, land and property, sport, engineering and anything that needs a fighting spirit. Well placed, it gives decisiveness and protective strength; under strain, it shows as impatience, arguments and haste. Its house shows where you push hardest.
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac: a movable fire sign ruled by Mars. It stands for beginnings, courage, speed and self-assertion. Planets here act quickly and directly, preferring action to waiting. It is the sign of the pioneer, the athlete and the soldier. In the body it is linked with the head, and in life with fresh starts and independent effort.
Astrology describes tendencies, not certainties. A single placement is only one part of a chart; the whole kundli, its strength and the running dasha change how it shows up. For guidance and interest only.
