The north-east is Ishanya, the most auspicious direction in Vastu. Entrances here are considered the best of all.
The facing is the direction you look at when standing inside the main door looking out. On a floor plan, use the north arrow.
These positions apply to every facing; a good layout can make up for a less favoured entrance.
